Even More Old School

Anyone remember these boots?

More Old School

Near as I can tell, when I was in elementary school, every boy wore one of these in the winter

Old School

I think everyone in my generation has fond memories of the way mimeograph (Ditto)
paper smelled when hot out of the machine. Here's what Bill Bryson has to say about it. So True

"Of all the tragic losses since the 1960s, mimeograph paper may be the greatest. With its rapturously fragrant, sweetly aromatic pale blue ink, mimeograph paper was literally intoxicating. Two deep drafts of a freshly run-off mimeograph worksheet and I would be the education system’s willing slave for up to seven hours."

Piaggio MP3 Scooter

I saw my first one of these the other day
I had read about them a while back and they seem like a great idea.
The front wheels are suspended in a way that allows the Scooter
to lean into corners with both wheels still in contact with the asphalt
which makes it much more stable and safe (Stops faster & Handles Better)

Election Day

- Someday a real rain is gonna come and wash all the scum off the streets

Red Angel Dragnet by the Clash came up on my ipod a few days ago and leading up to this election that quote has been on my mind. I have been waiting for this rain for the last 8 years, the Tom Delays, Rudy Giulianis, Alfredo Gonzales, Harriet Miers, Larry Craigs, Jack Abramoffs, Blackwater, Haliburton, Enron, Dick Cheneys, Mitch Brown, John Boltons, Scooter Libbys, Roves, Rumsfelds, John Yoos, Anne Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, Mary Matlin and the rest of the Culture war-ing, Faux Religionists, Hate and Fear Mongering, Free Marketeers of Convenience, Bogus Populist lying scum finally washed down the gutter of history.

Good Riddance.

More potential "Camp" Buildings

This Says It All

So Obamas Grandmother passes and this is how the
Ditto-Heads express their condolences on the
"Free Republic" Magazine Site.  It's also worth noting
that they've purged alot of the REALLY Bad ones.

Vacation Homes

Martha and I have always wanted to have a
Camp. Basically a number of simple buildings
for people to sleep in and a common kitchen,
bath, lounge & dining building. Kindof a kids
Camp for grownups. I think these prefab little
rooms/houses would make great cabins.

FWIW De Buyer Blue Steel Pans

These are great pans, I got mine @ sur-la-table in Chestnut Hill.  The best way I can put it is that they are like your Mom's cast iron pan crossed with a sautee pan.  Durable as all get out and reltively inexpensive.  They are tough to find tho, so keep an eye out
