Located in Olympia Washington, Kramer makes custom chef's knives that are considered by many to be the best in the world. Even the self consciously earnest Cooks Illustrated gave them the thumbs up. There is currently a 3 year waiting list for his knives which, start at $500 and can run to over $1000 for Damascus Steel (real not faux).
